Ordering
When ordering your tub and sauna all we need is a $1000 deposit to start manufacturing your order. We will work with clients to help them understand what is involved in getting a site prepared for your hot tub or sauna. When your tub or sauna is installed the remaining balance owing will be due at that time.
Installation is available and takes about 6-8 hours for two technicians to install and plumb your tub or sauna and does include the staining of your unit. It then takes 4-7 days for the Marine Glue to cure, then fill it with water and you’re ready to go.
All of our tubs come with everything you need to get started except chems. We recommend you purchase spa chems near your local, so to save on shipping cost, but we do provide chems if needed. We only run chlorine in small amounts in our systems, so not to tan or stain the Western Red Cedar.
Payment: Cheque please (personal)
Preparing your site
A lot of things should be considered for the placement of your tub or sauna. A hot tub full of water and people could reach a weight of 6500 lbs and it’s important to take proper building precautions.
- Locate your site on ground level and make necessary measurements so everything will fit right.
- Ultimately the best case would be on a concrete type patio or concrete slabs, or if you are building a deck and want to sink a portion of the tub into it, we can assist you in design and planning to help you get your tub up and running quicker.
- All tubs must be supported by a chine joist under the tub floor. A 6″x6″x12″ piece of wood cut into 3 pieces will support your tub perfectly. You can pick up a joist at your local lumber yard, pressure treated it’s about $30 – $40 for a joist, and you might be able to get them to cut it for you.
- Once your site is marked, you need to make sure there is room behind the tub for plumbing and pump, which will be covered by a step, to waterproof the electronics and hardware.
- All of our units are 110 v. Ready to go units, but you could opt for 220 v. if you wish to bring an electrician in to do install at a great expense to you. By having 110 v. you might pay a little more hydro a month, but you have insurance that when you move or sell your house, you won’t have an additional expense of having another electrician wire up your new site.
- Your tub will be supported by a chine joist and will sit off of your deck a 2” to help with weathering, and this puts all the weight on the joists, not the sides of the tub.
- Just email us and we will tell you when your tub or sauna will be ready, and set a date for install or we can ship directly to you, to install at your own convenience.
